New users don't get password e-mail in 5.2

Upgraded from 5.1 to 5.2. There are some issues with modules, and some will have to be looked at again to work properly with 5.2, such as IMCE and IMCE Gallery. Although I can tolerate some modules' new oddities, not having new users to be able to register, get an initial e-mail, and login now is not acceptable.

System: Apache 1.3.33 with MySQL 4.0.21 and Php 5.2.2.

New users who register with the site are not getting confirmation e-mails from the system with their user name and initial password, a process which worked flawlessly in 5.1. When I investigated, I found an entry is made in the MySQL database showing a user name and encrypted password, and an e-mail sent to the Site Administrator announcing that someone has registered is sent out. BUT new users never get their initial e-mail with their user name and initial password to get them started.

Looking at my Site Administrator e-mails and Drupal logs, I can see new people trying to register. And, although I haven't lost any of my current users, no new users seem to be able to join the site. I've seen some people who applied for accounts trying, and failling, to log in, even though they never got an initial e-mail. Apparently, they have more confidence in the registration system than I do.

Content posted after upgrade only visible under admin

Upgraded from 5.1 to 5.2. I have a couple problems now going on. Over at our site http://bteministries.org, when ever I post a new study it is only available under admin, regardless of what I set it at. Ive tried looking through many changes and cant get it to work. Some complete views I have set up wont display at all unless a person is issued admin rights. Anyone recommend what I should be looking for to correct this?

Upgrade from 4.7.6 to 5.2

Ok, just trying to clarify the upgrade instructions. Can you go from 4.7.6 directly to 5.2? I know somewhere it says go to 5.1 first, but it also says go to 4.7.6 first -- is there any reason to go from 4.7.6 to 4.7.7 to 5.1 and then to 5.2? This would take an awful lot of time for sure. I tried a 4.7.6 to 5.2 in a test sandbox and all went well, no errors. It doesn't make much sense to me to go to 5.1 since it is just a point release like 5.2? Thanks for any feedback.

/cgi-system/ appended to all site shortcuts

I tried to upgrade a 5.1 site to Drupal 5.2 on Dreamhost.

The css file is not found and all html appears "naked" and that is because a /cgi-system/ array is appended to every shortcut as in

www.site.com/cgi-system/?q=admin/settings
instead of the normal
www.site.com/?q=admin/settings

Any ideas?

And the whole site is way too slow.

Thanks in advance

Upgraded to Drupal 5.2. Does the CCK module work with this?

The new drupal does not list the module on the modules page.

Thanks

Upgraded to 5.2 now tinymce isnt working

I updated to 5.2 from 5.1. Everything went well except the tinymce editor isnt working. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. Cleared the cache in the database. Im stuck on what else to do. Any ideas on why this isnt working. Even though it is enable, it doesnt show up at all in any of the content creation pages I use.

I appreciate any help on this. Thank you.
