I am looking for a CMS that can be used as an exercise and workout logging and tracking system where users can log in and create a workout with specific exercises and track their progress via weight, height, measurement entries. I've been looking for something that can begin to give me close to what I want without having to code a site from scratch. So far I have not had any luck, but maybe someone has had some experience doing this or know of some module that would fit my needs.
I'd like to set up a site that offers registered users an individual journal - very much like the journal module for PHP-Nuke. Not a blog as such - the project is a creative writing site, so I'd like users to have a personal space where they can compose and store their efforts, which they can subsequently choose to make visible to other users.
I'm trying to understand what Drupal's 'book' feature does. It sounds like it might be appropriate for this purpose, but I'm not sure.
Using the Drupal demo installation at opensourcecms.com, I got the impression
that the Drupal access/permission system allows to restrict access by feature
(e.g. 'create pages yes', 'create polls no'), but not by category/website section
(i.e. 'may create new pages in category/section apples, but not oranges').
Is this correct ? If yes, is there some module/add-on to provide such functionalitiy ?
is it possible to construct navigation like this : the user clicks a topic in the horizontal navigation and in the left vertical column, a new navigation tree is shown.
