new to drupal. running mac osx 10.4.1. used safari, camino, netscape, AND internet explorer. also deleted browser cache from all.
installed drupal using my web host's cpanel fantastico.
entire install went ok, EXCEPT that when i click under admin and themes, i get an error message:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare xtemplate_node() (previously declared in drupal/themes/xtemplate/xtemplate.theme:54) in drupal/themes/engines/xtemplate/xtemplate.engine on line 39
You probably already know this, but I just wanted to mention that Druapl.org is currently giving this error on its homepage:
Fatal error: Got error 28 from table handler query: SELECT i.* FROM aggregator_category_item ci LEFT JOIN aggregator_item i ON ci.iid = i.iid WHERE ci.cid = 1 ORDER BY i.timestamp DESC, i.iid DESC LIMIT 0, 6 in /home/www/drupal.org/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 73
I've just installed pathauto.module and it's quite amazing to see all nodes named. I was told it will increase Google hits on my site too. What is your experience, how does adding path to nodes affect your search engine ranking?
Also, what other tools, practices are helpful to optimize your site for search engines, besides of course providing great content.
Seems like a trivial question, but I am looking for a module which gives the possibility to search users by nickname of any other profile field.
I found the members module, which gives you only the possibility to browse for users, if I am not wrong.
Yet, I remember to have seen one time a feature/module for searching users. But looking into 4.6 and all its modules, I am not able to find it back.
