A big howyagoin from Down Under!
Yours truly has just joined this fabulous community as of five minutes ago - after lengthy - if not exhaustive - research into the whole CMS debate, and naturally I have a somewhat complex question to ask.
Disclaimer: I sincerely hope that I am posting this in the right section! And, I apologize in advance because the message IS overly long)
Just to give you a holistic view from where I'm standing - er, sitting - my profession is Medicine. I play with computers (please note the distinct difference). In the last eight months I have learned HTML & CSS via FrontPage 2003 (courtesy of about a billion sites) because I seriously want to create/build my own writing website, which I've done with the abovementioned software. I would be considered intermediate (CSS/HTML/FP) but a very long way from expert.
I have designed my site using FP because I was referred to it by my hosting company, but I'm concerned that if I stay with FP the software/website simply will not cope with the amount of content I have, or new content that is generated by registered users. Hence why I've decided to research into CMS, which leads me to Drupal.
Now that I have designed my site using FP, how will I integrate the look and feel into Drupal? The very last thing I wish to do is loose all my hard work (3 col layout w/ header & footer based on liquid design) but then again, I don't particularly wish to learn php, either. After spending eight laborious months mastering FP/CSS/HTML I really want to get my site 'live'.
