i'm using the standard blue marine template that ships with it,

one thing that i'd like to know is how to make use of the blocks on the left and right, eg. say we wanted to place an image there,or subscribed to affiliate and wanted vertical ad on the left or right, is this possible. I know we can place ads in the comments or articles on the main body but what about the blocks.

I'm not happywith the "create content page" and want to change it. It seems to be quite unflexible though as I've found from this post http://drupal.org/node/81137. So I decided I would rather like to keep the "create content" link and its sub-links in the navigation but switch the content of the "create content page" to a general announcement telling people to either just go for the links appearing in the side bar navigation or to visit a specific help section. Any ideas how I can achieve that?

A samll Drupal site in building with very bad performance, always let me wait and wait and wait. I have tried many ways such as stopping the statistics functions, but without any impovement.

Hi a popular and useful feature is that many forum systems have an ability for people to track their post by having replies sent to their email.

I'm unable to find if this is possible with drupal - i find this sort of feature would be critical to increasing usage of a site.

I do know you can keep track of your post via "My discussion" but email is even better,

My theme is completely css driven, but unfortunately most html formatting (colors, line spacings ..) options are ignored.
How can this be?
