No nightly HEAD builds in directory module?

I'm sure that this is due to my mis-use of CVS - I've checked in a few changes recently, and yet - no builds from HEAD branch. Basically nothing since the new release system was put in place.

http://drupal.org/node/90450/release

According to that page, the last HEAD build was Nov. 13 2006. I've checked in several changes since then. I've tried tagging with the new tagging convention (and it's possible that I've not done that right.)

Duplicate api.drupal.org autocomplete function

I'm working on a site that needs autocomplete for a form field and was wondering if anyone knew the details of how the autocomplete function from api.drupal.org works.

I'd like to duplicate this functionality, as it looks matches the typed input against not just the beginning of the suggest items, but from words throughout the suggest items.

For example, if "Internet Explorer (IE)" was the only item in the database for suggestions, I'd like the autocomplete to suggest "Internet Explorer (IE)" whether the user typed in Int... or IE.

Thanks!

Is it just me ? Weird stuff happening on Drupal.org for me today.

Earlier on, I opened a page and got many php errors. I wished I had noted them. Lazy as I am, I refreshed the page and they were gone.

Just a minute ago, I open another page and get the Drupal welcome screen that tells me the database is not accessible :

This either means that the username and password information in your settings.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the MySQL database server. This could mean your hosting provider's database server is down.

The MySQL error was: Lost connection to MySQL server during query.

Special request regarding organization of contributed modules

First of all I think it's great that :

There is a very obvious link on the home page (under Downloads) to access contributed modules.
- that we can browse through modules by category
- that we can filter modules by Drupal version
- that we can browse through modules by Drupal version and category

However I think the categories need to be improved...

Drupal's strength is taxonomy, let's use it.

Now, if one is looking for a module that deal with "images" he/she needs to scroll down through
100 modules that deal with the broad term of "content".

I think we need to add these terms : "images" and "text"
Text perhapse would apply to text editors and text filters... something like that.
Or maybe we could add the term "text editors" and "text filters".

Here are the terms used now.

* 3rd party integration (65)
* Administration (62)
* CCK (19)
* Commerce / advertising (23)
* Community (47)
* Content (100)
* Content display (118)
* Developer (22)
* Evaluation/rating (23)
* Event (15)
* File management (10)
* Filters/editors (47)
* Import/export (12)
* Location (8)
* Mail (26)
* Media (37)
* Organic Groups (17)
* Paging (8)
* Security (15)
* Syndication (22)
* Taxonomy (40)
* Theme related (18)
* User access/authentication (32)
* User management (22)

Special request as far as development documentation

Very important documentation pages, espescially those that are in the API part of Drupal.org only delivers info in small chunks, which is excellent. For example, if you want to look up a hook function, you get a page devoted to that hook function.

Issues we do a "follow up" on in are not listed in "My discussions"

Am I the only one who has always had that problem ?

I have to rely on my flaky memory and the search module to find "issues" I have participated in (not created).

Regards,

Caroline
