restrict search to category

Are there any possibibilities or future plans to integrate the search system with the category/taxonomy module? That is, I would want to restrict a search to a given category or a set of categories.

I am thinking of how the category and search abilities of freshmeat.net work.

Hackers using Google to find my site

Hi, I found the following line in my referrer logs:

http://www.google.com/search?q=Call+to+undefined+function+mysql_pconnect()&hl=sv&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&start=30&sa=N

It looks like someone is looking for errors that can be exploited. How worried should I be?

BTW, I did the same search and limited it to my domain using Google's site:domain.com feature and it didn't turn up any results.

Making stories automatically post to front page

Hey everybody,
I just installed Drupal today and everything worked fine. The behavior I'm seeing is as follows:
1)If I log in as administrator and post a story, it automatically goes to the front page.
2)If I log in as a "regular" user, the story doesn't appear on the front page until
a)the administrator "approves" the story
b)the administrator "published to main page" the story

I'm sure there's a way of configuring the permissions for authenticated users stories to automatically go to the front page, but have not been able to sus it out.

seriously strange problems

All - I've got some VERY VERY strange issues occuring with my 4.1.0 drupal install. Here's a summary of issues:

for user admin and my personal user account (belongs to admin role):

when posting events, after clicking "preview" or "submit"
causes the preview form and final submit event to have n/a
set as the content of the message - this occurs on Mozilla
1.3, IE 5.5 and IE 6.0 - so I don't think it's any strange
from submission issue

another user with "admin" privilages as his role has no
problems submitting events - I also promoted a test normal
user to have "admin" role privilages, and that user had
no problems posting events

I went back to edit/admin a Forum topic, basically delete
a bunch of Annotation entries that were erroneously tagged
for no apparent reason (about a dozen random entries,
no surrounding text matched any of the glossary items)

it continued to stuff the glossary entries back into the
text, even after I manually deleted the appropriate text
...and after I had turned off the "glossary" function

regular users with "authenticated user" role, which has
privilages of "post events", and "access events" are
