Admin Error in CVS

After playing with release 4.1.0 for a while, I decided to install the nightly build from yesterday (16 Apr 2003) from CVS. After deleting all the old files and recreating the database, I moved all the core files to the server. The first thing I noticed was the change in the url. What used to be http://localhost/admin.php is now http://localhost/?q=admin. Is there an explanation for the change somewhere I missed in my search?

Also, When I go the admin page, all I got was a "main" div with System Messages and a "menu" div with a link back to index.php.

While I am new to php, I do understand that the CVS version is not stable. I tried to understand the code. I worked my way from admin.php, to common.inc, back to menu.inc. I then searched drupal.org on "menu.inc" and found nothing. I went to list.drupal.org and searched on "menu.inc" in development and got 149 returns. After a 15 minutes scan, I gave up and went to the drupal_devel link of the improved mail archive list on drupal.kollm.org and searched again on "menu.inc". This time 49 results, and number 22 was what I was looking for. Here is a link to the start of the thread.

Visiting Drupal from two locations doesn`t work?

Hello!

I`ve searched for the terms "session, login, timeout" and others but didn`t find anything:

I`m using Drupal 4.0.0 on Debian Woody from tarball (and since we are in the middle of moving our whole website to new server, new ISP.... i can`t upgrade to 4.1.0 for a while ) and get the following complaints of my users:

taxonomy_html 4.1 -> cvs

hi, sorry.

i know that taxonomy_html has been depricated in favor of taxonomy_dhtml, but i have about 15.000 nodes in my database. So having all of the titles downloaded is a no-no. I tried taxonomy_html but i can't get it to work under the CVS version. Cause i don't understand the instructions in the documentation.

How can I stop users posting storys by mistake

I have get drupal almost fully setup and running how I want now. But I seem to be having the problem that users are joining, and clicking on the "create story" link to post help questions and other things which they are expecting to appear in the forum. Have had a few emails asking why its not appeared in the forum and I have later discovered it as a story pending approval. I have tried disabling the user module, but then they complain that they can't logout. So is there a way to hide the create story but allow users to still post in the forum? I am using Drupal 4.1.0

Limit what taxonomy appears on front page

Hi,

I'm new to Drupal and just starting out, so its likely I've missed this...

I'm wanting to setup a family type website using Drupal. The front page will be generic to the family itself, so only nodes dealing with the family or the website itself should appear here. You would then click a link (setup in a block I'm guessing) to go to each family members area. Here you would see blogs or whatever content they want to serve.

db error

i am getting this error whenever i try to submit new content. the conf.php is set correctly and i have all proper permissions to the db.

the submissions end up going through fine but it is pretty annoying. any ideas?

user error: Access denied for user: 'myusername@localhost' to database 'my_dbname'
query: LOCK TABLES sequences WRITE in /home/username/public_html/blog/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 75.

this is using the new cvs. it is version 1.15 of dababase.mysql.inc
