Nor, seemingly, can I even subscribe to the drupal support mailing list. And I'm REALLY hoping someone can help. When I try to log on here, it simply loops me back to the log in screen. When I try to log in on my site, it shows I am logged in for one page, then 'forgets' as soon as I go anywhere else (and the log in prompt shows again). I'm hoping that I have not missed any of the usual suspects.
I want to be able to tell my users how many bytes more are in an article if there is more to read. Currently, I'm only displaying a "read more" link when there is more content. Is there a feature in Drupal (if so, I haven't found it) that will display the (xxx bytes more) next to the read more link?

Ive just installed and uploaded/configured the Drupal website and personally i think its great. The problem at the moment is that the host i am on [www.valuewebhosts.com] seems to have done _something_ to the server [apache 1.3.8 i think and php 4.x - www.pftb.com/phpinfo.php to find out] which means i cant use .htaccess files to alter the php.ini settings for the specified folders
