Installing Drupal

i m a newbie of drupal.i find drupal is a very good system.
but why not put locale file in a php script other than in mysql.
1. if it is in php file, so we can download & upload easy. converting once,using everywhere.not converting everyone,using once
2. it is slow & consuming database in mysql

maybe u have another reason to da that ,can u give me ,thanks!
i spend many day & night to do language converting,it is a so boring working....

I manage a Drupal site where anonymus has no privileges, but authenticated users have full read/write access to the site content. As an added feature I would like to allow each authenticated user to manage a personal blog from the site. If I enable syndicated personal blogs for each authenticated user, will their news feeds be accessible to aggregators that don't have permission to access the site? If the answer to this question is "yes", will such aggregators be able to see the rest of the content of the site?

Is there a hack for changing the root-level name of the collaborative book as it appears in the bread crumb trail? In other words, is it possible to make the breadcrumb trail look something like "Handbook > Policies" rather than "Books > Handbook > Policies"?

Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks.

I just bought a webhost account and I want to use Drupal but is there any way I can put it in the main directory (/html) without doin mydomain.com/drupal-4.3.0? I tried to put it in the main directory but I get some error bout "magic" or editing .htaccess. Is there another way to do it?

When i have no access to ssh, i was using webcron.org and cron
was working but with some errors (set time limit)

But when my provider give me access to ssh and created
crontab for me in such way
10 * * * /bin/sh /home/unumber/host.ru/www/scripts/cron-lynx.sh

nothing happens:(
