I run drupal on a Linux server. Due to change of platform to W2K I copied the files and DB. installed it on IIS and MySQL. did install /php/pear. get an error:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in D:\HOME\vcwaterland\wwwroot\includes\conf.php on line 50
I've installed Foxserv 3.0 and it seems to work ok. I can open apache monitor and mySql and get the green light.
When i go to the localhost from the F/s c/panel it offers me a few links including phpMyadmin. If i click on that i get to mySqladmin 2.2.6 and the option of selecting drupal from the list of databases on the left, but then i don't know how to proceed.
I unzipped the drupal files to c:/foxserve/www/drupal
I couldn't finish step 3. "$ mysql -u nobody -p drupal < database/database.mysql" on the install doc. I am using 1and1 web hosting and doesn't have the access to the database host site. Can someone tell me how to load the database
2 Really basic question here which I can't find an answer for:
1. How do I adjust a PHP.INI file to turn magic_quotes_gpc setting to '0'. I've found the PHP.INI file in the CGI bin in my domain's directory but I can't figure out how to adjust it.
2. Also where can I find the .htaccess file to do the same thing. I searched through Drupal's root directory as instructed but came up with nothing.
idmedia.org.au/articles and
idmedia.org.au/resources
i was wondering how i can set them up so that once a person registers for one they don't have to register for the other, and just use the same login / password combo for both sites...
