1. DOWNLOAD DRUPAL

You can obtain the latest Drupal release from http://drupal.org/.
The files are in .tar.gz format and can be extracted using most
compression tools. On a typical Unix command line, use:

wget http://drupal.org/files/projects/drupal-x.x.x.tar.gz
tar -zxvf drupal-x.x.x.tar.gz

MySQL errors for newbie

I've followed all directions for OSX, and have screwed up several attempts of getting drupal to run. When I follow the directions of http://drupal.org/node/22674 i get this error:

ERROR 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)

How Can I Fix Bad Links In Kubrick ("?q=" shows up twice)

I installed the Kubrick template....and all the links work ok...except for the ones that run horizontally along the bottom of the blue Kubrick image at the top of the page.

Those would be the "home", "news", arquives", etc links that show up automatically when you turn on them on in the admin area.

Quote 1.2 does not work in Drupal 4.6

Hi folks,

I just tried out the Quote module. Installed both the module and the css into the modules directory. I acticated it and it shows up in my blog. But when I click on quote, type in my answer and save it this comes out:

And here is my reply.

Maximum Image in image.module

It appears that my problem with image.module is due to the size of the images I'm trying to upload. I first tried to upload a file that was approximately 2200 x 2000. I got a bunch of error messages. When I reduced it to 900 x 800, it worked properly.

I need to be able to use the larger file size. The settings I'm currently using are:

- default image sizes and view original size is checked
- upload sizes are 0 and 0 for the general settings; 90000 and 90000 for authenticated users.

What do I need to do to handle the large sizes?

TIA

Sue
