Come together with the global Drupal community in Rotterdam, 28 Sept – 1 Oct 2026. Sessions, contribution, connection, and Early Bird savings until 8 June.
I've seen work for Zen grids 2.x and it does look very promising.
Obviously, it will come to 7.x-6.x version.. is there some roadmap about it?
I hope 7.x branch will be active as 8.x branch of Drupal will need some time to get fully manageable and gain some ground in being used by serious developers and agencies (usually about year after first stable release).
> Again, it's compatibility breaking change. What was wrong with the usual classes: page, main and so on?
Yes. That's why it in a -dev release where the latest release is marked "alpha".
With each major release of Zen, we improve the markup and CSS and we don't have to worry about backwards compatibility because Zen 7.x-5.x has the old classes and layout. And If you've built a site using Zen 7.x-5.x as your base theme, don't upgrade to 7.x-6.x. 7.x-5.x will continue to be supported, just like 7.x-3.x is.

johnalbinStill needs RTL layout, but that will require a new feature in Zen Grids 2.x.

maximpodorov commentedWhy do you make so destructive commit? How can we continue to use sidebars?
johnalbin@maximpodorov Sorry, you're right. Fixing.
johnalbinI forgot to include the needed changes to page.tpl. That's fixed now. Still needs the RTL bits.

maximpodorov commentedAgain, it's compatibility breaking change. What was wrong with the usual classes: page, main and so on?
