Hi everyone,
I've seen several posts about footer issues but can't find anything that helps. I'm unable to see the footer in Zen and in my Zen subtheme but it appears in Bartik. I've installed the footer message module and tried re-formatting the footer and .region-footer in css but nothing. I've also added wireframes to appear but there is just blank space at the bottom of the page where the footer should be. I'm using zen 7.x-5.x-dev. What am I missing? Please help. Many thanks!

The html5 footer element was added to a new region--footer.tpl on Nov 25, and that might be related (#footer is not a div). Note that the 7.x-5.x branch is not a release version.

Thank you. I've since decided to subtheme Bartik since, for me, the css is easier to understand. I'll keep in mind about the release versions too. I had read somewhere that it was best to use the latest version but maybe they meant the latest release version. Thanks again.
