This is on a fresh install using Garland and grabbing the YUI js files remotely. With 2.5.0, the "Browse" button doesn't show up next to the URL field at all. Switch to 2.5.2 and it appears to work fine.

that is really so. Also don`t work with yui v. 2.6.0.

The attached patch has been tested with 2.5.0, 2.5.2, 2.6.0 and 2.7.0 on firefox.

Now IMCE pops up as a custom image browser when the user clicks the image button. In 2.6+ it will show the internal image dialog for existing images - allowing the user to the properties of the image.

i am running yui_editor-6.x-2.33 and mu browse button does not appear either. i see you have a patch to fix this but when i tried to paste the code from the patch into my img_browser.js it seemed to say there was an error on the first line of the patch. maybe i wasnt meant to paste it in to the mentioned .js file so if not, what was i supposed to do with it to make my button appear?

It is a patch not a file to install. The handbook has instructions on how to apply a patch. The patch should be applied in your YUI editor directory - such as sites/all/modules/yui_editor
