Currently the only permission that can be controlled is the Administration. I need control over who can create/not create a short URL for a particular node.

I don't want those without permission to see what can currently be seen in the attached PNG file. This is a what an "authorized" user sees when creating a node. For this type of user, I want it to be that an short URL is generated automatically when the node is edited. They have no control and don't see this display.

Why does this display not appear under Home » Administration » Structure » Content types?

To answer the last question first, none of this will appear in the content types administration as it doesn't make use of the field api. I didn't initially take the field api approach as what the module accomplishes doesn't really seem to fit in with the field api. In the future if this is changed to make use of the field API, then I would have it mimic what is done with the URL path settings as they are similar implementations.

I can add permissions for the various actions within the short url section. I think you forgot to upload the attachment you mentioned in your post.

Have added 3 new permissions for Yourls. Right now they are in the Development branch, though it may take a few hours for it to update on the project page as Drupal.org only updates them every 12 hours.

If you want to wait, I'll release a new alpha in the next few days with will include fixes for some more issues.
