Fatal error: Call to undefined function file_directory_path() in /home/username/public_html/sites/all/modules/xmlsitemap/xmlsitemap.module on line 975

When downloading/installing the latest D7 beta via Drush, my site breaks and I get the above error message.

And when I try to uninstall I get the same error message.

Thanks

I have also pinpointed that when the main XML sitemap module is enabled in D7.0-rc2, the same fatal error results when invoking Reports > Status Report within the Administration Menu.

Disabling the module lets the Status Report run fine again.

This is a duplicate of #915006: Call to undefined function file_directory_path() in xmlsitemap.module on line 975 which was already fixed in the latest 7.x-2.x-dev.

Yes, thank you Dave. I was using 7.x-2.0-beta1 of XML sitemap . . . only because it was a recommended release.

Any plans to push out a new recommended release given that this problem has been addressed?
Attempting to use the recommended 7.x-2.0-beta1 breaks the associated website as pointed out in previous comments.

Just to add...
When one tries to uninstall this module via Home » Administration » Modules » Uninstall, the same error is produced. So the xmlsitemap module will have to be manually deleted from the installation directory.
