I already manage more than 20 sites using this module. Today, I upgraded to SVN and registered a new website. I connected to sitemap.xml, which access was denided. Okay, then I viewed under anonymous account. Sitemap was empty. I had to connect to the database, truncate tables. Then sitemap.xml worked. Therefore, it seems that something is not well initialized in the module. I could not dig this bug further.

avpadernoWhat do you mean by I upgrated to SVN?

nasirbest commentedI faced same error too. I have used 6.x-1 with a fresh install of Drupal 6.9
and have noted following points.
1. if both xmlsitemap_node and xmlsitemap_menu modules are installed then xmlsitemap_node do not write the links in main xmlsitemap table. cos they are already written by xmlsitemap_menu.
2. but the links written by xmlsitemap_menu does not have complete info. some imported parameters are missing like modification time.
as the result sitemap was empty except the root page.
3. variable cache (xmlsitemap_update and xmlsitemap_changes) prevents xmlsitemap from updating sitemap. so a simple cache clear button. can solve this issue.

avpadernoI changed the weight of the modules, so that xmlsitemap_node.module will be executed first; in this way the links added by xmlsitemap_node.module will have the precedence over the links added by xmlsitemap_menu.module.
Take in mind that xmlsitemap_menu.module is not thought to add links to nodes, which is the task made from xmlsitemap_node.module; you should use xmlsitemap_menu.module to add links that are not taxonomy term, or node attachment, or user, or node links for which already exist a module that handles such links.
xmlsitemap_menu.module should be used if, i.e., you want to add to the site map to a page that is generated by Views, or any other third-party modules.

kaoskorruption commentedMy sitemap is completely empty.

AlexisWilke commentedMe too, completely empty...
Since someone mentioned clearing the cache helped, I'm trying that.
This is with Feb 20 version. So very recent.
I made sure that CRON was run and the setup is set to Always.
What I get is this:
Thank you.
Alexis Wilke
P.S. the closing xml definition is correct in the file, I added a space here so it shows up properly in this post.

avpadernoI am setting this report as duplicate of #376032: How to insert old nodes into the sitemap? because when one report is resolved, also the other report will be resolved.
avpadernoI am removing the tag I set.
