I do not know if this is implented or not. But after some trial and error I've come to the following conclusion.

If I set a default character in control panel and post a forum post as Toon1 - then switch to Toon2, all forum posts that were made with Toon1 will remain as Toon1 even though Toon2 is the new default.

All forumposts that were written before the installation of Guild Hosting falls under this request automatically, in other words they are automatically changing depending on which Toon is default Toon.

So the feature request would be, I would want all previous forum posts (doesnt matter when they were written) to change author name depending on which toon is currently set as the default one.

It seems like an awkward behaviour, maybe this is just some kind of bug. I'm not sure.

You have the behavior correct.

Each post records which toon posts it. If the post was created before wowguild, then no toon is attached to a post and it will 'fallback' on who the user selects as a default toon.

The post with no toon attached to it continues to use the user's default toon until the post is edited (and re-saved, thus recording the toon that is posting).

The intent of wowtoon was to allow users to post as different toons, thus the 'select toon to post as' section when posting. For example a user has horde toons and alliance toons, you would want to be able to change who you are posting from.
