Cloning rules - unexpected behavior

When I clone a rule with the status "Default", the Clone rule form appears.
1) The preselected Event is wrong.
Still the cloned rule can be deleted (which is okay).

When I clone a rule with the status "Modified"...
1) the same
And 2) the rule does not have the "delete" option in the rule overview. Instead a "reset" link appears. This link deletes the rule.

Both 1) and 2) are, I think, confusing to newcomers like me.

I thought there was something else, but it seems that 1) causes accidents (overseeing that the event is different than expected) and once created rules can't change the event that is triggering them. So you have to write (click) your conditions all again, or clone the rule again and that is a headache.

I thought cloning should produce custom rules anyway. Cloned default rules, which still belong to a certain module, can not choose among all different events on creation time and that is a pity, too. But I guess a lot of this is by design and I'm not getting the point. So, sorry if this is all wrong and in vein.
