I'd like to use Workflow with Organic groups but I'm not exactly sure of the best way to do this. It looks like there may be some conflict in the access permissions.
What I want to be able to do: A group admin in each group should be able to approve any and all content submitted by members of the group.
My current setup: Group admins belong to a role - "group_admin", which has been given permission to move content from a state called "submitted" to "published". Unfortunately all group admins regardless of their group can see each other's content because they are all part of the same role - "group_admin".
I was hoping OG would take care of the access rights and only allow members of each group to approve their own content, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Any suggestions on how to set this up?

hillaryneaf commentedI found Revisioning module + Module Grants module + workflow to solve my issue. Here's a great tutorial: Revisioning with state-based content access control

matthieu01 commentedHi,
1 year later...I ask a question :
I've 2 roles : One "Chief contributor" who can post content and administer all the content in his group, and one "contributor" who just can create content.
My problem is that my chief contributor can administer all the contributor content in all the groups...and I don't know how to limit his "power" just for his group :
In the permission node, if I disable "edit all the content" for the chief contributor, he can't edit all the content for his group and all groups, but if I enable "edit all the content" he can edit all the content for his group and all the groups....And nothing in Grants, workflow or Revisioning about that.
Is anyone know what I must to do ?
Thanks

gmclelland commentedI'm not sure how, but elms is using workflow + organic groups. http://drupal.org/project/elms
Maybe the spaces module is providing the separation between the permissions?
Report back if you find anything out.

johnvMarking this as a D6 issue. In D7, the module-landscape has changed a lot.
In D6 and D7, you might want to check out the Workflow OG module.

johnvI wish there was a nicer way to clear the issue queue from 'D6-issues that are fixed in D7' then a "won't fix for D6."
