I have Workflow VBO (7.x-2.3) and Views Bulk Operations (7.x-3.2) installed. I have created a workflow in which a document moves from A to B then to C.

When B changes the state of individual node to next state, it works properly. However, after installing VBO and adding a button in view (Change Workflow State of Post to Next state) , when multiple nodes are selected and executed the message given is

You selected the following 0 items:

After confirm is pressed it says processed 2 out of 2 (if there are 2 nodes) however, the state of node does not change.

I checked for the error as pico34 in (https://www.drupal.org/node/1962344) has suggested but that error does not exist in this version of code.

Can someone help please?

A short update: before, I could replicate your error. But now I don't. Please try latest dev-version and flush caches:
- when using 'Next state', all works fine
- when using 'New state', there are no errors, but state is not changed on first attempt. On a second attempt, they did change.
This was with user 1. Need to test with another user.

Do you use workflow_node or workflow_field?

When checking the message log, the following apprears:
- more then expected notices: State of Node NAME set to STATE
- one notice: Unable to get current workflow state of entity 6.
- two consecuent notices in the same second: Stack overflow: too many calls to actions_do(). Aborting to prevent infinite recursion.

This appears to still be an issue. Using Workflow 7.x-2.5-beta1+9-dev and Views Bulk Operations 7.x-3.2 I am getting exactly the same behavior as what sverma originally reported.

My apologies. I was using the field "Bulk operations: Workflow executed transition" instead of "Bulk operations: Content" and now it appears to work.
