Igyaach commentedSolved!..for those having the same issue. First I download the webspeech library version 4.1 and getting this error. Then I reinstalled the library but this time with version 4.0.1. Now I am able to access the configuration page of the module.
I see the audio working now, except in my home page. Why is that?

hgneng commentedI've commit a patch to fix the issue. Also I've released WebSpeech library (http://www.eguidedog.net/WebSpeech.php) for another bug (wrong state of "read content").
WebSpeech 4.0.1 may not work on some browsers. If the issue occurs the you, you may need to upgrade to 4.1.1.
Let me know if the issue of your home page persist when you confirm you have setup the right DOM element ID.
