I would like to take over the webmcp project namespace and maintain it as the main place for WebMCP integration in Drupal.

I am already actively working on this through the
WebMCP Integration
project, where I am exploring how WebMCP can fit into existing Drupal concepts such as the Form API, Tool API, and the wider AI and MCP ecosystem.

At the moment there are several related projects and experiments, including
webmcp_integration, ai_webmcp, and webmcp_bridge.
I would like to help consolidate this work in the clearest project and namespace possible, instead of having multiple overlapping implementations grow separately.

The webmcp namespace seems like the most natural home for this work.
My intention is to move the active work from webmcp_integration here, continue developing it in the open, and collaborate with others working on WebMCP in Drupal where approaches overlap.

WebMCP itself is still evolving, so I expect the project to remain experimental for now. The goal is to provide a clear community home where we can explore the integration, learn from working implementations, and converge on the right Drupal approach over time.

I have written more about my current exploration here:
WebMCP and Drupal.

The goal is not simply to rename an existing project, but to create a clear place for WebMCP work in Drupal and make it easier for related efforts to converge.

Before creating this issues I tried contacting the maintainer through the contact form.
I have not received a response, also wasn't able to find the maintainer on Slack.

Per the project ownership procedure, I am moving this issue to the Drupal.org project ownership queue.

Title: Offering to maintain WebMCP » Taking over the WebMCP namespace
Project: Drupal.org project ownership » WebMCP
Component: Ownership transfer » Miscellaneous
Category: Task » Support request

I am moving the issue back to the project queue, since the issue title did not reflect the request done.
The issue needs to stay on the project queue for at least 14 days, with the correct title.
