gerhard killesreiter commentedNot sure how to deal with this, unpublished for now. There were no releases so I guess we can also delete it. OTOH, if we keep it unpublished, nobody can create a new project of the same name...
Nick Robillard commentedOk. I've pointed digital-telepathy to this issue. They may want to take over the project in order to keep control of the namespace.
dtelepathy commentedHey Nick, project transfer sounds like a good solution. Can you please initiate this transfer?
Nick Robillard commentedGerhard, can you please change the project author to dtelepathy.
gerhard killesreiter commentedI don't see the point. Is there further development planned? As it is now the project is unpublished which means nobody can continue to work on it. dtelepathy doesn't even have a cvs account.
Nick Robillard commentedThe point is so that digital-telepathy has control of the project name instead of me (i have no affiliation with them). I've been told that development may happen in the future. When that time comes, i figure they'll either apply for a cvs account themselves or use a Drupal dev who has cvs access.

gerhard killesreiter commentedWhen that time comes, they can re-open this issue. As far as I am concerned this is fixed.
dtelepathy commentedHey Gerhard, as this is an issue regarding the use of our trademarked brand, we would prefer to have project ownership now so as to avoid any future issues that may arise. We would ask that you please initiate the project ownership as requested by Nick.
Crell commentedI don't believe we have a standing policy regarding trademark names in projects. Drupal.org does not actively police project names. We have worked with module maintainers before to rename modules that caused trademark confusion, but I don't believe we've ever had a TM owner request a project name specifically. (There are lots of modules that have the name of a trademarked service, usually for integrating with those services.) I recommend we decide what our policy is going to be before we start implementing it case-by-case so that we can be consistent.
dtelepathy: With the project unpublished it is essentially "squatted" against future use, so your TM is safe for now.

gerhard killesreiter commentedAs Crell says.
