Please see Become a confirmed user for information on the role and how it is granted. After you have posted some content on Drupal.org, this issue will be revisited or you will get the role automatically.

Thank you and welcome!

I have already read it and according to the platform I cannot publish until I am a confirmed user

I really don't understand how this works and why they make their platform complicated from the beginning

Whatever gave you that idea?

I looked at your account and you haven't even tried to publish anything here except this request to be 'confrmed'. The fact that you published it obviously means that you can publish here.

So go ahead and ask the specific questions about migrating your site. However, please make sure you read this first. Linking to your present site is not allowed here. Generic questions like "Can I migrate from WordPress to Drupal" (the answer is "yes") are also likely to be deleted.

OK. I am closing this request then.

To be honest, I don't understand what it was that made you rate this experience as "horrible". You offer absolutely nothing in the way of explanation, but I can live with that.

I apologize for your experience. Some of us are working on ways to make our spam-blocking less frustrating to new members. I have confirmed your account.

I disagree with confirming this user.

There is no indication that he has any interest in Drupal. To me, it looks like he is only interested in getting his profile page with two links for SEO purposes exposed to search engines.

I've looked closely at hist posting history, and he has not been subject to any spam blocking. The assumption that this is what frustrates him is simply not correct.

I also apologize for this first experience. The Community Working Group (CWG) is actively reviewing methods on how to better confirm users here in the Webmasters queue.

Now that you are confirmed, please visit https://www.drupal.org/contributor-tasks for ideas on how to contribute back to the project!

I do not see the indication that this user is interested in using the links for SEO. Most users have links in the sidebar of their Drupal profile. I think assuming positive motivation is important when welcoming folks to the community and confirming roles.

Most users here also participate in the community, by posting in forums and issues, or contributing modules. We are then able to review that content and determine if they are here because they are interested in Drupal, or just here for SEO purposes. That is why the guidelines for becoming a 'confirmed' users says that a user with no content should not be confirmed – he or she need to wait until there is something to review.

This particular user has posted nothing here except this issue and a profile page with links. One link goes to a travel agency and the other goes to a digital marketing agency that specializes in SEO services. Neither site is running Drupal.

He complains about his experience with our site being "terrible". But he does not say what is so terrible about it. He's not tried to create any content here beyond his profile page and this single issue. Since he does not explain anything, I can only speculate that he think it is "terrible" that his profile page here was hidden from search engines, and therefore useless for SEO purposes.

Don't get me wrong. I agree that our spam tools create a terrible first experience for some users, and I've even created an issue to get it fixed: #2994786: Mitigate the effect of Akismet unpublishing legitimate posts. But the users that are unfairly hit by our spam tools are users that participiate in our community, and get their posts erroneously unpublished. If you don't participate (as is the case with this user), our spam tools does not bother you, beyond the limitation is that you cannot use your profile page here SEO purposes. That limitation is lifted when you get the 'confirmed' role. He's now gotten that role, so I guess he's happy.
