Request for 'confirmed' user role

Hi, I tried to comment on this issue, but my comment did not show up, while the patch file was uploaded. I now think that this might be, because I'm a new member and I would thus request to be reviewed.
Also due to my comment not showing up, I submitted it twice. I'd be grateful if my comment could be shown and if maybe my duplicate comment can be deleted or just ignored.
