Request for 'confirmed' user role

I am the new Marketing Strategist for Last Call Media and part of my new role is connecting with the Drupal community. When you're listed as spam, that's a little disheartening for interaction and comes across that our company is spam. I'm hoping to skip the waiting period to not put any tarnish on my company's name and better connect with the community.
