Request for 'confirmed' role

Hi, I am a new users to Drupal having used Joomla and other software for web page creation.
I am making decisions and hoping to have Drupal software installed today/this week so I can start creating my web page.
I posted a question under Installing Drupal with the topic of Do one click installs work?.
I would appreciate you allowing that question to show for the community (and hopefully giving me a confirmed role) so I can use the wisdom of the community to help bring me up to speed on Drupal quickly.
