drummWe do not delete projects on Drupal.org, since people may be relying on the releases to build their sites. (We of course comply with valid legal requests.) Especially in this case, we wouldn’t want someone else to be able to re-create the project with different code in the releases.
We can go ahead and change ownership of the project to unmaintained projects, if that would be helpful to remove your name from authorship. (Although the commits will remain.)
You can privately report more details to us by emailing help@drupal.org; or tell the client it is out of your hands and they can email that address.

reflie commentedThank you for your reply.
I understand your side here, but if we leave the module for common access, it will cause serious troubles and conflict with my client. I understand that some users could use it, but the module has been marked as deprecated and I don't want new users to use it further.
Probably, it could be unpublished at least? So new users will not be able to download it anymore?

drummOk, since the project has no usage from sites reporting, I've unpublished the project and releases.
