My friend is currently trying to create a Username on groups.drupal.org to post a job posting. However, on creating his login, the email link sent to him takes him to the login page (see attached screen shot).

He clicks "Log in" on the temporary login and is promptly taken to a screen where he's prompted to enter both username and password and to 'log in'. Meaning, there's something wonky with the auto login.

There is a bug in our single sign-on system, #1917632: Login from subsite registration fails on one-time login link. Before that is fixed and deployed, your friend can request a password reset from Drupal.org, http://drupal.org/user/password, and that should get them on all Drupal.org sites, including groups.
