Hi

I am working on old support requests in the core issue queue. In this case they are years old. Most of them are totally forgotten about. Some are solved but not closed.

After around 100 Issues that nobody does care about any more I suggest to automatically close support requests after 30 days.

Just like "fixed" works. If this seems unfair set it to 60, 90 days. But do close them. It would be more helpful if we can concentrate on issues that really needs to be taken care of. Of course this might suggest people should "push" their problems. But if we choose a big enough time span this shouldn't happen.

And while we are at it. In my opinion the issues set to "needs more info" should autoclose as well. But this is more complicated. If a maintainer uses this to really do something about this in a month this could be nasty. But than (s)he could use the "postponed" status.

If you are new to drupal.org, it would help us if you would search for existing issues before submitting a new one. We strongly advise you search using the drupal.org search facility, because it really is very good. NOT a third party search engine (e.g. Google) as you may well not find what you are looking for.
