Hello,
Would like to get this http://drupal.org/node/1061630 case study pushed to the front page. We think it will be some solid marketing for drupal use case for fortune 500 and social business software vertical.
I followed the case study guidelines and created a ticket for http://drupal.org/node/1061706 for adding images to the case study post.
Would also like to request placement in the "Sites Made with Drupal" showcase.
Please let me know if I can be of any assistance.
Regards,
Jeffrey

alex ua commentedThis looks really good, and I think it would make an excellent addition to the case studies. +1 from me (whatever that's worth).
jeffrey.dalton commentedJust a bump to see if this ticket is in process of happening?
Many thanks,
Jeffrey

alex ua commentedUnfortunately, most of the front-page promotions are handled by @gdemet, who is (I'm imagining) slammed with DrupalCon preparations. It would be great to get it up sooner, but I think post-DrupalCon is more realistic...
jeffrey.dalton commentedYah totally understandable, was hoping to have it up for Drupalcon traffic but can imagine the work load getting ready. Thanks for the quick reply.
gdemetThis gets a +1 from me, but we need at least one other member of the site maintainer/webmaster team to also review and give it their +1. If that happens soon, I think we can get it promoted before DrupalCon.
avpadernoIt gets a +1 from me too.
mr.baileysI've tentatively put this on the front page schedule for Feb 27th.
jeffrey.dalton commentedAh that is great news. Thank you all for the efforts.
mr.baileysSetting back to needs review: I was about to promote this story when I noticed that it's a node in the About Drupal book rather than a forum post in the Drupal Showcase forum.
I think that in order for a case study to show up in the "Sites made with Drupal" section on the home page, it specifically has to be a forum node, so promoting the story as is right now would probably only make it show up in the "News" section of the homepage.
Waiting for a more experienced webmaster than me to confirm/deny the above assumption.

jeffrey.dalton commentedIs there anyone in particular I could work with to get things placed properly and pushed?
Should I post a shorter forum node in the Drupal Showcase forum that has the main picture and a link to the whole case study so the forum node can get pushed to the "Sites made with Drupal" and this original case study node can get pushed in the news section?
jeffrey.dalton commentedOK added a new forum post here http://drupal.org/node/1082024 with just a short paragraph and picture for the "Sites Made with Drupal" and a link to the full case study already mentioned above. Let me know if there is anything else needed to make the magic happen.

silverwing commentedgdemet can answer the question in comment #9
Personally, I'm completely against promoting the forum post in #11 telling them to click on another link to get to the information.
jeffrey.dalton commentedHey Folks, just checking in to see if there is anything more we can do to make this happen?
gdemetI've gone ahead and promoted this to the home page. In response to #9, while we generally prefer to promote stuff out of the forums, we do sometimes promote stuff out of the "Sites Made with Drupal" section as well. This is confusing, and we need to do a better job of making a distinction between the two. Personally, I'd like to see "Sites Made with Drupal" become a sort of "Hall of Fame" from stuff out of the forums, but with DrupalCon I haven't had time to focus on that. Now that DrupalCon is over, hopefully I'll have time to do so now.
jeffrey.dalton commentedHey gdemet,
Is it still possible to have this pushed up to the "Sites Made with Drupal" screenshot block on the front page then?
gdemetI'm not in charge of that block, I think those get refreshed periodically based on recent home page posts.
mr.baileysI always assumed that the "Sites made with Drupal" block is populated with promoted showcase forum posts -- could be wrong though.
jeffrey.dalton commentedany ideas on who does the promoting for the "Sites Made with Drupal" block?
gerhard killesreiter commentedThere was a problem with the node: it was book, not forum and thus hadn't the right taxonomy term...
This is now fixed and the site shoudl show up when the cache is invalidated in a few minutes.
And I can't resist to comment that you sure are persistent...
drummThat block does it's best to find the 4 most recent posts in the forum with images. (It is a random of those 4.) In looking for images, it looks for
http://...(png|jpg|jpeg). Put an absolute URL in there.Comment #21
jeffrey.dalton commentedHey Gerhard,
Thanks much for finishing this off, and yes persistence is my middle name. :)
