We've recently updated drupal core to 6.19 and right after the update noticed that the Web Links groups field disappeared on node/add/weblinks.

Clearing all caches did not work. After searching weblinks issues found that the solution posted on http://drupal.org/node/184960#comment-913401 made it appear again.

In our case though the weblinks content type was already set and all we did was saving the vocabulary without changing anything else. Not sure if this is a Web Links or core (taxonomy) issue, but thought it might be useful for somebody else and if possible would be good to prevent it from happening on future updates.

Sorry that you had this problem. Given that 6.19 is old now, and no doubt you have moved on to later versions I am going to close this issue. I am not saying there was no problem, but it is too far back to investigate now, and hopefully it did not recur on later upgades. If you think it is still active, please reopen and we will help.
