There are two date/time stamps that I can think of and you didn't specify which one. If you're talking about the one the theme adds, you control that in your global theme configuration.
If it's the one that the module does, there is a checkbox on the settings page "Display link information?". Uncheck it and the module won't do its date/time stuff.
I have a question about the Web links.
I saw my question in the Frequently Asked Questions:
Q) How to remove the date/time stamp.
A) There is a check box on the settings page "Display link information?". Uncheck it and the module won't display date/time stuff.
But the problem is that I didn't find the check box on the settings page "Display link information?". I am using drupal 6.x
I updated the FAQ (this is also mentioned in at least two issues here)
A) Prior to 6.x-2.0, there is a check box on the settings page "Display link information?". Uncheck it and the module won't display date/time stuff. From 6.x-2.0 and onwards, you use the standard theme setting to show the "Submitted by" information. This can be further enhanced by using the Submitted By module.
