Hi there,

this is a great module and exactly what I was looking for!
But is there a way to make it work for fields on different pages in a multipage webform?

I mean I have data on page 1 like street and want them to "copy" with the "same as" function in a field on page 2.

Greetings :-)

Right now we don't have support for doing a same-as across pages of a multi-page form. Though in theory it should be possible to implement.

There are 2 main challenges with implementing this:

  1. The submission data for other pages is stored in a different part of the data structure (in the $form array if I remember correctly). So you'd need to implement some conditional logic to search both the $form and $form_state arrays for the correct fields to copy. That would address the server side piece of this.
  2. The data from previous pages usually isn't very accessible on the client side. So for the client side piece, you may have to do some ajax based updating or try figuring out if the raw form array data is stored in a hidden field.

I'd certainly welcome a patch to implement this, but given my current workload I doubt that I could get to implementing it myself anytime soon.

Thanks for your quick response!

That sounds really complicated but maybe I can motivate some people to work on this issue :-)
