The latest version doesn't seem to display any of the hidden fields in the submission edit page on our installation

View tab for a submission shows this:

test1:
aaa
test2 (hidden):
bbb

Edit tab for a submission shows this:

 test1:
aaa
Submit

In version 2.x we were able to edit the values of hidden fields in a submission. We use these hidden fields to add some comments to the form after it has been submitted. Is there any way to restore the old functionality?

This is a known feature regression. The plan is to solve it through #313639: Public vs. private components . Please follow that issue for updates.
