Appeared when I tried to add a component, looks liek the email key should not be there?

Did you run update.php after updating? It should be added for you in update 6201.

I get the same error. I've installed this module for the first time today, so I shouldn't have to run update.php, right?

Ah yes, installing the first time, I released 2.1 with a critical bug: #276729: Install schema typo for field email. I'm waiting until at least tomorrow to create a new release.
