Hi,
My problem is that I have a version of webform imcompatible with the current core install:
Drupal core 6.24
Webform 7.x-3.13
I have followed the recommended steps for module upgrades and have deleted the current webform folder, replacing it with version 6.x-3.18, however the site still thinks it's in the 7.x version. Additionally, I can't run update.php. When I do I get the following message:
"Fatal error: Only variables can be passed by reference in /home/mysite/public_html/sites/all/modules/wrong_version/webform/webform.install on line 470"
I have been using Drupal for awhile but am limited in my php knowledge and even more so in MySQL. Is it possible to just drop the tables for webform in phpmyadmin? I have a backup of the current database and the site is backed up remotely in addition.
I would be extremely grateful for any help in fixing this.

quicksketchHi there, sorry this question was never answered. 90% of the time when this happens (the version number seems "stuck" on the modules page), it's because there's another copy of Webform module somewhere on your site. Search your entire server for stray copies of a "webform.info" file, including in backup directories and nested within other modules. Most likely there's a copy somewhere that is getting picked up that you don't expect. If you want to cut to the chase, you can also just lookup where Drupal is finding the current version of Webform in the "system" database table. Once you find the rogue copy, trash it. Drupal will then find the correct version.
I'm marking this issue fixed directly after the long time lapse.
