Hi,

I have a simple webform that has a select list of four options. Is there a way to send the user to a specific node based on the select option(s) chosen?

I believe you can do this with Webform Rules (but I wouldn't necessarily recommend that). This would be possible in the 4.x branch if #1340010: Make Safe Key (in addition to Value) of Select Components accessible via tokens was completed, since you can use tokens in the redirect URL field.
