Hi. I'd like to use CCK fields as form components. Specifically my goal is to allow my users to use a series of provided fields and create their own, position the fields on the screen with the arrange_fields module, and let the users print the form without filling it out.

So far I have tried CCK with arrange_fields, but this does not work because end users are not allowed to use arrange-fields to reposition the fields.

I think that a combination of WebForm and CCK could work. This is because webform does allow end users to use arrange_fields to reposition fields of a web form. If I could just get my CCK fields to appear as those form components, I could accomplish my goal.

So, does anyone know how to make WebForm use CCK fields (defined in a content type) as form components?

You can't use CCK fields with Webform. See the related issue at #118984: Field API based rewrite of webform module.

There's a Frankenstein project over at http://drupal.org/project/webform_entity, but I wouldn't particularly recommend that approach. It doesn't actually let you use Fields in a webform so much as it appends fields to a webform (with different storage, so its not included in the e-mails, exports, or analytics).
