I have an upgraded D6->D7 site going from an old version of webform (not sure which one) to D7 version.

After unpacking the webform module in sites/all/modules and running update.php, no updates are available and there is this message:
"Some of the pending updates cannot be applied because their dependencies were not met."

I then try to install the module and get the following exception:

PDOException: SQLSTATE[42S22]: Column not found: 1054 Unknown column 'w.block' in 'where clause': SELECT w.*, n.title AS title FROM {webform} w LEFT OUTER JOIN {node} n ON w.nid = n.nid WHERE (w.block = :db_condition_placeholder_0) AND (n.type IN (:db_condition_placeholder_1)) ; Array ( [:db_condition_placeholder_0] => 1 [:db_condition_placeholder_1] => survey ) in webform_block_info() (line 1550 of /home/.../sites/all/modules/webform/webform.module).

Uninstalling webform gets my site back to normal with no exeptions and no message about "pending updates" after I run update.php.

Any thoughts on what is causing this are greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

An update to this, when I try do display website content as D7 administrator using the admin/content link, I get this message and no content is displayed:

PDOException: SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table 'simsmokedata.webform_roles' doesn't exist: SELECT webform_roles.rid AS rid FROM {webform_roles} webform_roles WHERE (nid = :db_condition_placeholder_0) ; Array ( [:db_condition_placeholder_0] => 61 ) in webform_node_load() (line 1212 of /home/.../sites/all/modules/webform/webform.module)

I have a single content type defined for webforms (Surveys) with only a single node of this type that was created with an old webform version. The node does not seem to have been converted properly to the new webform -- at least I didn't see any messages about it.

"Some of the pending updates cannot be applied because their dependencies were not met."

This means that you had at one point installed Webform on your Drupal 6 site (and likely have database tables still relating to the old version). You MUST have installed Webform 3.x on your Drupal 6 site before upgrading to Drupal 7. Webform cannot upgrade from 2.x on Drupal 6 to 3.x on Drupal 7.

If you want to install Webform fresh, disable the module and visit the "Uninstall" tab and uninstall the module, then enable it again to start with fresh webform database tables.

OK. Finally got around to reading the README file. You can't upgrade to the 3.x version in D7 without first upgrading in D6.
