Access denied after upgrade

Hi,
I finally got to update webfm to the latest version, 2.18, but now I cannot download any of the files, even as admin. I can see them but when I click on them I get access denied. Unfortunately I cannot remember from which version I upgraded but it has probably been more than half a year since my last upgrade. Unfortunately I cannot downgrade because my computer crashed and I lost the previous version.
