robmilne commentedThis thread dealt with IIS issues positively. Perhaps you can consult Pjeirke about your problem since I'm not an IIS user.
Comment #2
bdeegee commentedThanks for the link. Alas, nothing there helps. It's not a permissions issue. I can make folders and upload documents all day, I just can't attach them when editing a page. Nothing happens when I select "Attach to Node".
Comment #3
bdeegee commentedFurher information:
I completely deleted the webfm_dbinsert_attach function from webfm.module, and I got no error. So for some reason that function isn't being called.
Comment #4
robmilne commentedI had a look at this function and didn't see anything strange other than the the wrong format specifier for the weight. Attached is a patch for that change in webfm.module. Try it and see if if makes a difference.
Comment #5
bdeegee commentedThanks for the patch, but there's no difference. The function wasn't being called so making a change to it wouldn't have any effect anyway. I need to trigger this function somehow from the edit-a-node page.
I just did an experiment and manually attached a file to a node by inserting a record into the webfm_attach MySQL table. When I view that node now, I see the attachment. However, if I edit that node the file isn't listed in the Attached Files section.
I've tried Firefox on both a Mac and PC for all of my testing.
Comment #6
robmilne commentedIf you open up the webfm debug area inside the browser fieldset (during node-edit of course) do you see anything coming back like so?:
attach.fetch: { 'status':true, 'attach': [ { 'result':true, 'id':'136', 'n':'Me and A340-600 Main Gear', 'p':'files/webfm/jorgen/bob/subdir0', 'e':'', 's':'106727', 'uid':'2', 'ftitle':'Me and A340-600 Main Gear', 'fdesc':'', 'fcreatedate':'0', 'flang':'', 'fpublisher':'', 'fformat':'', 'fversion':'0', 'm':'2007-03-29 11:23:57', 'w':640, 'h':480, 'i':2 } ] }
If the curly braces are empty when you know that a valid webfm_attach entry exists for the node then there is a server side issue. If there are contents but they aren't displayed then we have a client side issue.

apg commentedDid you try:
admin/settings/webfm
and then check:
"Append file links to Node Body"
