add "download count" column to the files table

I know "download count" info is visible in a popup with meta-data, but it's very inconvenient to use.
I'd like the ADMIN role to see an additional "times downloaded" column in the files table itself.
I've searched for this feature request on the drupal site and I see other people would like this implemented too.

I know there's "http://drupal.org/project/webfm_statistics" module, but it shows the downloads plain *log* instead of downloads count per file.
