I have my views slideshow up and running.

In the pager settings widget, I set "Number of Visable Pager Items" to 5.

What I expect to see on my slide show is 5 pager items but instead I see 7.

In fact 7 is the total number of results. It seems the pager is just making pager items for all the view results and not what I set "Number of Visable Pager Items" too.

Can anyone else confirm this?

The styling of the carrousel is lacking. When you put following in your stylesheet, it should work:

.jcarousel-clip {
  overflow: hidden;
}

@intergalactic is right, this does not come with any CSS, therefore you'll have to apply the proper styling. I think its a fair argument that it should come with some basic CSS to kickstart the process. The problem now is two-fold, 1) there are 6k + sites using this module, so adding CSS to the 1.x line might anger them, and 2) the jcarousel 0.2.x line has been deprecated and instructions with minimal css recommendations are not available. This means this will have to come in as a feature in the 7.x-2.x version of this module.

I've added basic styling to render the slider to the 7.x-2.x branch. that should resolve this.
