Hi fearlsgroove,

I installed the latest 7.x-1.x-dev version, and am not getting the Carousel checkbox in either the top or bottom Views Slideshow Widget checkbox lists.

Have you commited all of the submitted patches to the 7.x-1.x-dev version? Your last comment in http://drupal.org/node/1389054 was "...Fixed dependencies/states in views UI, javascript to D7 format and committed. Functional 7.x dev should be up shortly." Not sure if the 7.x-1.x-dev version has been put up / is functional, or I need to apply one or more patches?

Thanks,

captaindav

Everything is committed and the 7.x-dev should work. Is your view set to display fields? If not it won't show up.

I have the same issue into the views' slideshow format settings. The module is enabled, but it won't show up as an option:

Slides
There is no Views Slideshow plugin enabled. Go to the Modules Page and enable a Views Slideshow plugin module. For example Views Slideshow Singleframe.

Adds a jCarousel option to views slideshow
Requires: Views Slideshow (enabled), Views (enabled), Chaos tools (enabled), Libraries (enabled)

Here are my versions:
Views Slideshow - 7.x-3.0
Views - 7.x-3.1
Chaos tools - 7.x-1.0-rc1
Libraries - 7.x-2.x-dev (comes pre-installed by my hosting provider)

; Information added by drupal.org packaging script on 2011-10-26
version = "7.x-3.0"
core = "7.x"
project = "views_slideshow"

File: 'views_slideshow/views_slideshow_plugin_style_slideshow.inc:70'
// Get all slideshow types.
$slideshows = module_invoke_all('views_slideshow_slideshow_info');

Current 'views_slideshow_jcarousel.module' fiel have not this hook.

This seems to be a result of not having the right steps completed. Since there's no follow up by the OP in a few years, I'm guessing this has been resolved with the fixes that put red error messages with instructions to ensure that the right library plugins are placed in the right locations. Please re-open this if this is incorrect.

For me the issue is still there with the latest version.

Both modules installed without any error messages, jcarousel library is installed as described in the documentation.
When editing a view, I can choose "Slideshow" as format, but then there's no "Carousel" option to choose. When I install other Slideshow submodules (e.g. cycle) they show up and I can select them, but not the carousel option.

Version information:
views_slideshow 7.x-3.1
views 7.x-3.8
libraries 7.x-2.2

Hi @majusz,

One of the big quirks of the 1.x version of this module is that it doesn't provide a jcarousel slider option for the main display area (aka the stage). It secretly uses the jquery.cycle library for that. The only area that uses jcarousel in 1.x is the pager selection - which gives you the option to select a jcarousel slider w/in it. I was really surprised when I discovered this after working with this module for a long time (and before becoming a maintainer).

I've pushed a 2.x version of this that supports jcarousel 0.3, and provides a jcarousel stage and pager, making this a much better implementation than before. 2.x is still very much in development and I/we really need reviewers and patchers to help push it forward. If you could give that a shot and file some fresh issues with things you come across, that'd be great!
