This module adds a Views based Media browser to the site that allows filtering files based on fields attached to the various file types.
1.x Branch
The 1.x series adds Views support to version 1.x of the Media Module.

2.x Branch
The 2.x branch currently has some overlap with the existing Views support in Media 2. But down the road we hope to extend Media 2's Views support with a plugin architecture that allows the user to define any arbitrary number of custom Media Views. Work on the 2.x branch is currently on hold though pending a stable release of Media 2.x.
