Selective Filter on Taxonomy Produces Excessive Queries

If you have a view and add a selective taxonomy filter the view will run one query for every taxonomy term in the result set. While this is probably very little performance hit when there are only a few dozen taxonomy terms in the result set, if the vocabulary has a lot of terms it can quickly grow out of control.
