Hi, please forgive my English.
In a new, clean Drupal 7 install I have a simple view (around 300 rows) and this module installed. I tried to generate XLS and CSV. With batched export selected, I get a browser "file not found" error. If it is selected, it says "Building export" but all I get is an empty file.
I tried another module, "views_export_xls", with the same result.
I think the server *might* be a cloud server.
Please help, being able to export to excel is an important requirements of this project.

When configuring the Data Export view, does the preview at the bottom show any results?

I was experiencing the file-not-found behavior with an XLS export until I realized that a contextual filter was preventing the view from returning any rows.

Yes it did.
Anyway I uninstalled the module and wrote a php script that querys the database and generates the excel file.
